Access & Equity Monitoring Reports

Te Pae Oranga's Access & Equity Monitoring Series is part of our statutory monitoring role under the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022.

The series examines how the health system is performing for whānau Māori across our rohe. Rather than describing inequities as community characteristics, these reports identify the commissioning decisions, system design failures and resourcing choices that contribute to inequitable outcomes.

Te Pae Oranga o Ruahine o Tararua (Te Pae Oranga) is an iwi-mandated Charitable Trust representing seven mana whenua, mātāwaka and mana whaikaha across the MidCentral region. We also hold the statutory Iwi-Māori Partnership Board functions under the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022 and represents the hauora interests of approximately 44,000 Māori across five takiwā.
